Start Your Social Media Strategy Before You’re Left Behind

Get online!!! And reach a whole new world of potential customers.

Are you stuck in a time warp refusing to resign yourself to the fact that we are now well into the digital age? I am astonished to learn that approximately 50% off small businesses don’t have a website. I’m even more surprised to hear that a big majority of SME’s are not getting involved with social media either. Did you know it’s free? And that it’s proven to engage not only your existing customer base but also those who until now had never even heard of you. You can reach an audience on a global level and essentially be open for business 24/7.

At AR Cash Flow we see the benefit of speaking to our customers and referral partners via the web. We constantly like to inform and update using our blog and even post regular twitter and facebook updates. We also encourage our clients to get online.

If you want to be part of the rat race and not stuck in the old school mentality then perhaps start learning a thing or two about all things digital. I know it can seem overwhelming with tweets, posts and pokes but after a while it will become second nature.

Even one of the big name banks has recently turned to social media launching a massive campaign that started over Twitter. Since that tweet they have experienced amazing results. If the big banks can use social media and find success – why can’t you?

I think one of the key elements to a successful business is keeping up with the times and generating positive interest. No one wants to buy from or invest in a business that doesn’t realise the importance of offering their customer the latest and the best. I encourage all SME’s out there that haven’t or are considering going online to take the leap.

[blockquote]Think of it this way – while you’re sleeping at night – your business can still be running.[/blockquote]

And finally if you’re unsure of where to start or how to get online. Let me suggest this: If any of you have a teenage son or daughter or perhaps even a young neighbor, have a word to them, I have no doubt in my mind they will know exactly how to set up a facebook or twitter page for your business! Maybe offer them a few bucks for their time – it’s a worthwhile investment.
